Had a crafty day today. Re-vamped last years thankful burlap banner, and then made a few fall wreaths for the front door!!! (cheap trick-buy straw wreaths- super cheap- and glue leaves on)
I wanted to do something for the month of October that the kids could look forward to, and help them learn the concept of days, weeks and months. After looking at different ideas (on pinterest), I came up with this- since I had the materials already around the house. I had to let go of my ocd tendencies to make the entire thing myself so it would look super cute- and let the kids have fun making most of it...I think it looks cute anyways, and the kids had fun painting the bags, clothespins, and putting stickers on. Each small bag has treats in them- and the date up until the end of October. Each evening, I let the kids open one of the bags.
The kids and I got crafty and made these last fall. Our natural "leaf wreath" (the kids loved collecting the biggest leaves they could find) and our burlap thankful banner (made with the help of my cricut).
