I wanted to start a book list of books geared towards foster care/adoption issues, for an easy all-in-one-spot list. Then I found this list and it had a lot of the books I was going to add to the list, and then some! Feel free to let me know if there are others worth reading that are not on this list, and let me know what you think of some of these books if you've read them. Click here to find the list.
Update: I just found this fun widget (shelfari) on the right side of the screen that I placed a bunch of books that have to do with foster care and adoption. Some I've read, some I've heard about.... In the past week, I've stumbled across the following two blog articles. I am not the greatest writer, so I was super excited to read these articles that say what I have been trying to verbalize every time I am asked "why do you put yourselves through the heartache?" (Maybe I'll start carrying a copy with me, and when I'm asked, I can hand them a copy) These both are great Christian perspectives on our call to foster care, God's role in foster care, and why we do what we do and why more Christians should consider foster care. There are a few points that are probably hard for some to hear, but I think they're honest and eye-opening, and might push some of us out of our comfort zones ....enjoy!
